This place was open during the big blackout of 2024, so I took a friend here for lunch. It's like that major diy burrito chain but a million times better with so many options! I got the tofu burrito bowl with a million toppings and jamaica to drink. Soooo good! Pricing was not too bad, 2 burrito bowls and drinks for around $30. Helpful service too. And don't forget to utilize the salsa/pickled items bar too. And try the black hot sauce at the tables it's really good!

A CAJILLION times better than Chipotle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! absolutely perfect amazing I need more craving it every day of my life ( )

Best food in Northern Ohio. Excellent service and atmosphere. You feel comfortable and ready for a great meal.

Believe it or not this place has giant apple fritters (best in the city!) and donuts, more of a bakery

I ordered to-go and it was delivered super quickly! The vegan chorizo was so good! And the chips and queso were also delish. I would definitely order from here again. My true rating would be more like 4.5, but I'm rounding up for an unexpected, delicious to-go meal!

I visited my friend in Cleveland recently, and when she first said she wanted to take me to a Mexican restaurant, I was skeptical. I'm originally from Southern California, so my standards for Mexican food are high, and I definitely didn't expect to find anything really legit in the middle of suburban Cleveland. However, I was pleased to find I was wrong! You know it's legit when the menu is not 100% spelled correctly and they have a salsa/toppings bar near the drink dispenser! Cilantro Taqueria is a pick-your-own adventure restaurant where you can build your own tacos, burritos, etc. My friend and I split a chicken burrito, which was amazing! Generously filled, the meat was very tender, and they have a plethora of available toppings. If you want your burrito cut in half, just ask! We split the burrito because we also wanted chips and guacamole, and I was delighted at how much guacamole they give you. Other places give you a teeny bit and a large bag of chips, and this place actually seems to understand proportions and how much guacamole is appropriate. I also loaded up on the salsa verde from the salsa bar, and the medium salsa (which was pleasantly hot without being numbing). The food was delicious all around and very reasonably priced. The service was quick and pleasant as well. Would definitely return, especially when I saw they make birria (which is rare, but something I love!)

big fan of cilantro taqueria! i'm glad there's so many locations. the meat is all flavorful and excellent textures. there's a huge variety in meats, toppings, sauces, etc. you can get og no frills tacos meat, onions, cilantro or you can top tacos/burritos with as much as you can until they burst. i'm a fan of the lengua (tongue) or the birria tacos. they have daily specials as below as well: monday - $8.49 bowls or burros (excludes seafood & lengua) not valid at our van aken or n olmsted locations tuesday - $11 for 3 tacos & a fountain drink (excludes lengua & seafood tacos & bottled sodas) wednesday - $8.49 quesadillas (excludes seafood & lengua) thursday - $6.99 margaritas (16oz) sunday - $11.99 fajitas (chicken or steak only)

Cilantro Taquiera will make you say, "Chipotle who?" It's that good! I've been to the Van Aken location multiple times and always liked it but this is my first time visiting the Coventry location. The first thing I noticed was just how BUSY it was! But the line went super fast as the crew is very efficient. The prices are okay, not great, but not terrible, particularly given the large portions. There are lots of meat/meat alternatives to choose from. I went basic and got a chicken bowl with lots of veggies, Mexican rice, black beans, and a light amount of cheese and cilantro sauce. My total cost was a little over $10. IT WAS SO GOOD! Everything was so delicious and flavorful. I finally got some flavored rice in my life. The chicken was juicy and the sauce was unexpectedly delicious with an herby tangy flavor but likely very high calorie. All the veggies were very fresh as well. I fully intend to go back to this location soon. They are doing everything right!

Cilantro Taqueria is a Mexican staple in Coventry. Every time I've gone, the service has been incredibly fast, even though they're always busy and bustling. They have a large variety of different meats, dishes, and fillings, and so far everything I've tried has been delicious. I think their pricing is very very reasonable, with most items ranging between $10-$15. They definitely don't skimp on the amount of food they give you, and I can easily make most food last 2 to 3 meals. Ironically, even though they have cilantro and their name, the vast majority of their food items do not contain that horrid herb, if you're like me, and it tastes like soap. I'd also like to highlight their margaritas. You can get a pitcher of margaritas for $26, and having tacos and drinking margaritas on the patio in the summer is absolutely impeccable. While I do sometimes struggle to find seating at cilantro, there still a great place to get food especially if you can do takeout.
